About

Wendy is the proud author of this blog, and she has been blogging for over seven years now. She lives in Hot-lanta GA with her husband, Brandon, and her beloved cat, Clawdius “Monster” Catullus. Wendy and Brandon conspire to rid the world of injustice and traffic problems. Wendy enjoys ranting, sleeping, and writing about the mundane.

Okay, now to change over to first-person and go a little more in depth. I grew up in southern Alabama, where good clean fun involves going to Walmart and walking around in graveyards. I have a sister who is 2 years, 2 months, 2 days older than me, and though we grew up mostly ignoring one another, we get along splendidly now and share the same sense of humor. She gave birth to twins on April 29, 2008, so much of my flickr pictures will be dedicated to my little niece and nephew as they grow. My mom is a sweet lady who keeps it real and has a knack for pronouncing words incorrectly (oven = othen, desk = dest, valentines = valentimes). My dad loves rifles and strives to keep my sister and I healthy (eat raw veggies! Exercise every day! Don’t put salt on those chips, and no sweets!).

After high school I spent a year at the Baptist College of Florida, where I mostly stayed in my room, hermitizing and talking to my boyfriend, Brandon. In May of 2002, we got engaged and I moved to Orange County, California (where we lived together for 4 years). We got married on August 10, 2002. Allow me to take a moment and get all lovey-dovey and say that I love Brandon so much and grow to love him more daily. I’m so glad I was blessed with such a great husband.

Fast forward to the present. We’re living in Atlanta and Brandon is getting his Master’s degree at Emory while working as a web programmer for an online Bible site. I’m working at a marketing and research company in the Knowledge Services department (proofreading, editing, etc.). I attend Oglethorpe University, majoring in Communications and minoring in English. I will graduate in May 2009 (as will Brandon), and then proceed to make the big bucks with my snazzy degree.

I write this blog to keep in touch with friends and family, and perhaps entertain those who manage to glean something worthwhile from my ramblings. Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions or would like to lavish me with compliments.
