Giving thanks a little late

December 2, 2009 on 10:22 am | In Uncategorized, introspective |

So I missed blogging the things I’m thankful for on Thanksgiving, so I thought I’d do it now. I feel like it’s hard to list off the good things that have happened without sounding smug or braggy, but here goes.

Over the last year, Brandon earned his master’s degree, and I earned my bachelor’s (better late than never). Brandon got into the PhD program at Emory, which was a huge blessing and not something that we took lightly. We got a wonderful kitty, Petey, who is incredibly cuddly and loving; basically the complete opposite of Monster. We bought a house, which we love and are incredibly proud of. And we celebrated 7 years together.

I’m sure I’m forgetting something, but that’s a lot to be thankful for.

  1. Wendy, I follow you on Twitter and I appreciate your humorous remarks on the things you encounter daily. I just caught up on your blog. It’s so tough to blog these days, you know, with real life and all.

    I miss college.
