Man oh man have things been busy. We bought a house, moved into said house, and unpacked most of our stuff. We love our new place, and from time to time we’ll still say in amazement, “we own a house!” It’s a great feeling.
I went and turned 27 yesterday. As long as I experience birthdays vicariously through Brandon, I don’t really feel old. It wasn’t really the best birthday, but I’m finding that the older I get, the less I like birthdays. They’ll never live up to the birthdays of childhood, which involved skating or sleepovers, guilt-free cake eating, and unabashed greediness when it came to presents. I worked on my birthday, and afterward Brandon and I went out to eat. He got me roses and a certificate for a massage, which was really nice. All in all I can’t complain.
Petey and Monster like the new place. We installed a cat door between the kitchen door and garage so we could put their litterbox out there (sooo glad it’s not in the house), and now the cats entertain themselves by walking all over the car.
Anyway, I thought I’d update the old site even though I’m not incredibly in the mood for writing. So yeah. We’re still here, things are going well, and I’ll write more later.
