Apples
November 1, 2007 on 8:24 am | In food |FYI: Even though Mcintosh apples and Fuji apples look alike, they are not the same at all. Mcintosh apples have that grainy texture that for years made me think that I hated apples, and Fuji apples are firm and altogether yummy.
You may now go about your business.

Yeah, I just went apple picking a few weeks ago and am now realizing how differently each type cooks. I didn’t realize that I could actually despise any kind of apple until I bit into a rome. Yuck.

Why do people even bother to pick McIntosh apples? Why not just burn the crops to the ground and start fresh with some Granny Smith’s or some Honey Crisps?

Seriously! I love me some Granny Smith’s.
What are these Honey Crisps you speak of?

All I can tell you is “Google them.” They are a bit rare. My family found them at an Apple Festival in North Carolina. It’s one of the most unique tasting apples I’ve ever had.

Why would someone ruin a good Fuji by cooking it. I didn’t eat apples ’til last year when I was given a Fuji. I thought I didn’t like apples ’til then. I’m mad at all those years of thinking apples tasted like grainy poop.
