The big two-five

October 15, 2007 on 1:54 pm | In food |

On Saturday I turned 25. That’s right; I am now in my mid-twenties. That’s such a weird thing to me. I mean, I’m no longer in my early twenties. And I’m inching toward 30. Thirty is the age where you like, have kids and buy houses.

You like my birthday cake? My sweet husband refuses to take credit for it. So we agreed that this could be my “joke” birthday cake. It actually tasted pretty good.

  1. Congrats on being really old. I hit the mark in a week-and-a-half, myself.

  3. Happy Half Way to Fifty!! :-) Hmmm, makes you sound really, really old. But don’t worry. You’ll be able to taunt me in a few months. I’m not far behind you. I hope you had a good birthday. Yummy cake by the looks of it!

  7. Thanks, guys! I am old now. Actually, since I experience birthdays vicariously through my husband, I don’t feel as old and this birthday hasn’t really hit me that hard. Thirty, I suspect, will hit much harder.

  8. Hey, you’ve reached a square birthday! (5 to the power of 2.) Hope it’s an awesome year! Personally, I loved being 25 (29 is boring …)
