Since Seth is back here at work from his three week hiatus, we decided to go to an old favourite for lunch: Baja Fresh. I like their Dos Manos burrito (dos manos means "two hands" in Spanish, and this burrito is so big you need two hands to eat it) because I'll save half of it for a later time. The reason I wanted to blog about Baja Fresh is not because I like their food, but because Wendy has given us good reason to make fun of their name. Wendy, who is not from California and has minimal familiarity with Español, kept calling the place "ba-ja-fresh." She pronounces the "j" as a jay and not as an aitch as they do in Español. So after I informed her of the correct pronunciation, she began calling it "Bahahahaha Fresh"—like its a wicked laugh or something. She's cute. From now on I call it "Baja Fresh" with a jay for fun. Irregardless, it's still a fun place for lunch.
